Knitting: Mittens
Knuckle ink is the only time I’ve had a tattoo idea that my husband has made that slow, supportive-but-maybe-don’t-do-that head shake of the long married. This is a way for me to try out the idea before I go all permanent. And these are the two things that I wished everyone in the world could, and would, do.

This is a pattern converted from Classic Mittens Pattern #615, published on Free Vintage Knitting from Gloves and Mittens, Volume 29, Bernhard Ulmann Company. The colorwork references the macro data refinement task in Severance. For when the numbers are scary.

These mittens are knit from the cuff up, in the round (with the exception of the thumb, which is knitted flat). After the cuff, the shape widens out to the thumb where the palm and back of hand are put on holders while the thumb is knit flat.
