Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This cozy warm hat is knitted in the round with the stranded colorwork technique. It is designed to have a touch of whimsy, inspired by the many birds of beautiful Block Island, Rhode Island.
Knitting: Gloves
This pattern will be remembered by readers of Threads in the 1980’s when the magazine featured knitting as well as sewing. I designed these gloves for an article about knitted gloves.

Knitting: Poncho
The poncho has a fun-to-knit construction: Center Panels for Front and Back, with Lace “Sailboats” and Seed Stitch accents, are knitted first and joined at the shoulders.
Knitting: Vest
A fun to knit and easy to wear vest in a simple knit/purl pattern. Knit in flat pieces and seamed together
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
The LUCKY FROG PILLOW is formed of two main squares, Front and Back. These knitted squares feature intarsia, stranded color work and duplicate stitch techniques.
Knitting: Poncho
This poncho, sample shown in size Small, is worked in the soft cotton and wool blend SEASIDE, perfect for spring and summer. It can also be worked in almost any worsted weight yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This lace shawl features multiple lace patterns. Scalloped trims are worked separately and joined at the end.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This worsted weight hat is knitted in the round: upper hat first, with lower edge added last. Three colors are used, in stranded colorwork patterns.
