I knit this pair of socks up for my toddler son to wear in his boots. I chose to omit a heel so that he could wear them more than one year. In retrospect I wish I had knit them a little longer to get longer use out of them, which is noted in the pattern. This is a good beginner sock of you are afraid of the heel flap.

For the butterfly I used the one on Spud & Chloe’s Blog. You could also make a flower or attach some buttons, or put nothing on it.
