You will need 5 double pointed needles as well as an 18 inch circular needle. Though gauge is listed, it really isn’t that important to the project.
Knitting: Stocking
a fun knit. hats for the entire family. Lends itself to different yarns to mix it up.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Lace and Cables in one hat. I have to admit, I think this would also look great in a sweater. It can also be enhanced with some serious blocking for those that are into that.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I saw this in a photo and decided to give it a go. While knitting it up, I thought about the DNA strand and a new beanie was born. This is a fun knit and would look great in school colors or sorority colors, like the sample. It’s also a pretty easy knit when you get the pattern down. I think the strand would be fun in a variegated yarn or even ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have been thinking about doing a hat filled with cables for the longest time. It was going to happen sooner or later. Whether this is sooner or later will depend on how many patterns come after this one. I tend to think this is later considering how long this has been running in my mind. This would be interesting in a self striping yarn like ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern will introduce you to helix knitting. It is a way of working with stripes that eliminates the jog. It is easy to master and fun to use.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
It won’t really matter what yarn you use, though, this would look best in a solid or a self striping yarn with large color blocks. That way, the design and the color or colorway won’t fight with each other for prominence.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
You’ll carry the yarn up when not in use. Keep in mind that these stitches will cause the hat to draw in a little so the hat will be tighter. You might want to consider adding (increasing) a few stitches to Compensate so the hat is not too tight.
Knitting: Cowl
Change size by adding stitches in the cast on. Knit one regular stitch between each loop (at least) or else you will get a mess.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Cast on, how to knit in the round, Knit, Purl, Increase – the pattern uses kf&b but any increase will work, YO – yarn over, decreases k2tog and k3tog (knit 2 together and knit 3 together)
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This intermediate beanie is great for those that love a little color work with a bohemian feel. Use whatever colors you like to create a hat that can be chic, boho or casual.
Knitting: Cowl
If you cast on a different number, use multiples of 8 with an even number of repeats. Place marker and join in the round.
Knitting: Boot Cuffs / Toppers
What you need to know: How to use double points or magic loop method.
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern lends itself to your personal expression. Make the bands bigger or smaller by changing how quickly you switch purl rows and knit rows.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Notes: When switching colors, make sure to twist the yarn so the working color comes up underneath the idle color or else you’ll get a gap.
Knitting: Stocking
What you need to know: Knit, purl, yarn overs, increases (knit front and back) cast on and cast off. You also need to know how to use dpns and circular needles
Knitting: Beanie, Toque

Knit pattern for a twisted stitch cowl. The pattern is one general size but can be made bigger or smaller by casting on more stitches or knitting less rows.
Crochet: Hats - Other, Beret, Tam
This is a pattern for beginners but fun for the more experienced crocheter. Didn’t include gauge because, honestly, that’s a dirty word for me and because the large hook size is really out of the norm for the yarn but that’s how you get lace without the work!
