Knitting: Ankle Sock
This basic sock pattern has been used by my mother and grandmothers from both sides of the family. It has always worked out for everybody. We do however measure a bit while knitting and don’t take the sizing 100% serious, though it comes very very close. But as everybody’s feet are different, measuring while knitting is always a good idea.

These baby leggy’s are designed so that every mother who can knit straight and purl stitches can knit them. They are very easy to knit.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is a simple washcloth. I have written this pattern out to use it in crochet workshops I’m running at the HEFF home educators festival. I have made sure to use a variety in stitches for beginners. So it has chain, double crochet, half treble, treble and double treble in there.
