Discover the Block Island Knitwear Collective through this book featuring 11 new, original designs. Each designer in this group of talented students from Deborah Newton’s Knitwear Design Workshop has created a unique hat inspired by Block Island. The collection consists mostly of knitted hats (including a beret!) but also features a brimmed cotton summer sun hat worked in crochet. Using yarns ranging from fingering to bulky weights, these hats showcase a wide variety of techniques, including colorwork and mosaic knitting.
