Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Maklik Shawl is named after the Afrikaans word for easy. In keeping with the South African theme the shawl is made with South African indie-dyed yarn called Eco-fusion. Eco-fusion is a 50% cotton, 50% bamboo yarn with amazing drape and that is lovely a cool to wear.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This beret is the last in my Dawn to Dusk series of patterns. The beret is knit from the top down, in the round. It has the same cable running up it as with all the other Dawn to Dusk patterns. The beret is a one size fits most. It can be customised slightly by doing a few extra (or less) decreases to achieve a better fit. It can also be made m...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
One of my favourite colour combinations is pink and green. This shawl was inspired by the yarn colours which reminded me of my favourite walks in the flora of the Cape called fynbos. In the summer the Erica bushes burst into flower and leave the bush speckled with swathes of pink in between the green. The green Madeira lace on the edge of the s...

This is a shawl that needs the knitter to be familiar with lace and shawl knitting, although an adventurous beginner should be able to cope with the pattern. The shawl can be cu...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A beanie style hat to match the Dawn to Dusk fingerless mitts. It has the same simple cable moving up the hat. The hat it is knit with a contrasting colour in the rib at the bottom of the hat and then a solid colour for the body of the hat. You may also prefer to knit it in all in a solid colour.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Daisy Swirl Hat is designed as a one size fits most. If your head is around about 22 inches this will fit you. It did also fit my 9 year old daughter (20” and my hubby 24”) so as long as you don’t have a massive head or a very small one, this should fit you.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Bluebell Meadows is a crescent shaped shawl that has been designed with a gradient yarn in mind. However, it would also work well in a solid or semi-solid yarn. It has a small, plain stockinette body and an easily memorised lace edging, with the option of beads for extra bling!(There is a photo tutorial included in the pattern for the beading)
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Dawn to Dusk fingerless mitts have one simple cable twisting up the side of the hand. They also have a short thumb, which gives your thumb more freedom to move for texting, typing and knitting! The mitts have a left and right hand. The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A Floral Embrace is a semi-circular shawl designed as a light covering on cool Summer evenings. It is knitted top down and was inspired by some beautiful yarn from Nurturing Fibres that reminded me of the fields of daisies one sees on the West Coast of South Africa. The yarn used for this shawl is Nurturing Fibres Too Soft for Socks, a soft sin...
