This baby blanket is made using variations of single-color brioche knitting interspersed with plain garter stitch. The resulting thickness in both of these stitches is what gives this blanket its wonderful “squooshie” softness.

Worsted weight yarn, scrap yarn in contrasting color, and size 3 knitting needles are needed. You will create these pieces separately and then assemble them into the finished product.

Needed: 1 skein each of red and white yarn. From these, you will have plenty of yarn to make 4 mini-stockings.
