eBook : 5 patterns

I designed a set of small animals for a few reasons. One, I enjoy a nice palate cleanse after (and sometimes during) a large project, it is nice to have a nice and easy instant gratification. Two, I love having small little creatures on hand to give out to little people that might be watching me as I work in public (which I do often). Three, they are wonderful to have as nice and inexpensive items on your craft fair table, it is hard to say no to the kid you dragged with you to a craft fair when the little thing they want is so cute and inexpensive. :)

Knitting: Brimmed Hat
I wrote this pattern long ago, and never actually published it. I always make this hat for friends/family that go through chemo-they wind up loving it because the brim sort of hides that little bit of forehead that your hair typically covers.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I made this hat for the dentist I work for. He is an avid skier and asked for a hat like this specifically. I figured I would turn it into a pattern to share with y’all because I LOVE how it turned out, and smiles are for sharing! Today is my birthday, so it is fitting I give a gift to the amazing yarning community!
Crochet: Throw
This pattern is meant for experienced crocheters. There are many different stitches used (some are unique, and are defined in pattern).
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat requires colorworking and using floats, so it is for intermediate skilled knitters.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a hat to match my Cowlerful cowl pattern, which is also free (available here)
Knitting: Cowl
This is an easy peasy cowl. Looks far more complicated than it is. You only change colors on different rounds-you do not need to alternate colors once you start a round! YEAH!!
Crochet: Throw
This pattern is meant for experienced crocheters. It uses overlay crochet and three colors per shape. I have made the pattern so that you can just keep the colors connected until you use them so that we can minimize the ends we must weave-but still, there will be a lot of ends to weave. But, if you keep your eye on the prize, the end result of ...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have been obsessed with Sasquatch for a while, and figured it was high time I design a pattern that suits me (and all the other squatchers out there). This pattern will require color working in the round. You will need to have floats in some rounds (this is not very complicated to do, so an adventurous beginner should have no issues with this...
Crochet: Afghan block
This pattern is for the Dragon Flower Stained Glass Square. There are actually ‘two’ squares, a small one which ends on round 21 and the measurement of that is 10 inches x 10 inches and the final square, which is much larger at 19 inches by 19 inches. This is using MY GAUGE. My gauge is typically much looser than most, so if you have a tighter ...
Crochet: Costume
This pattern is for a photo prop! The ‘body’ of the phoenix will drape over the newborn as it is laying there, it is NOT a cocoon.
Crochet: Throw
This pattern is meant for experienced crocheters. There are many different stitches used (which are defined in the pattern). There are many photos (found at the end of the pattern so that you have the option to not print them if you like to preserve ink) to help guide you along as well, so a very adventurous crocheter, even though perhaps not e...
Crochet: Animal Toy
This manatee is part of my ebook “Craft Fair Cuties: Creatures Of The Sea.” You may buy them in a set with four other creatures.
Crochet: Animal Toy
This octopus is part of my ebook “Craft Fair Cuties: Creatures Of The Sea.” It is purchased in a set with four other creatures.
Crochet: Afghan block
This pattern is for a stained glass square. The pattern shows how to make it into a poncho, however feel free to use your squares how you want. This would make a lovely afghan or throw as well.
Crochet: Softies - Other
Red Heart Super Saver is the yarn that was used in the samples. About 20 yards of blue and 75 yards of red were used to make this heart. Size, hook and yardages will vary based on your gauge, which, for this pattern, is not important-you will just want to be sure you crochet tightly so that you don’t have large holes or the stuffing will show t...
Crochet: Doll
If you are like me, when you saw the episode of The Walking Dead that included Eugene wanting a Grimbly Gunk you got all giddy inside. Of course you also probably wanted to know how many points all that yarn was too! I got all excited when I saw him peeking out of his pocket at the end of the episode too!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Yarn usage is an @$$timate-I did not have full skeins and I did not use up all my yarn, so I used less than one skein on my main color and a lot less of the contrasting colors. For this hat you will need a MC (I used dark grey) and two contrasting colors (I used two different blues).
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
Very small amounts of yarn were used. That was the purpose behind making this pattern, I wanted a super quick project that would work up fast, with little yarn and be fairly cute.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Come join us in my group! Scroll through all the amazing photos our fellow Ravalrians took during the MKAL!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Experienced: Due to the lacework and entrelac. My goal in making this pattern was to make make it so that an experienced knitter could pick up this pattern and create this shawl-even without entrelac experience. You do not need to know how to knit backwards to knit this shawl. The most difficult part of the lace pattern is the center of each ‘e...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Pattern is now available in my Facebook group: Dragonbird’s Nest
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Intermediate: This is a great pattern for those that want to try their hand at lace, even rows do not have a lace pattern, so you can ‘rest’ your brain during those rows. The odd rows, however, require a bit of concentration and counting.
Knitting: Wall Hanging
Skill Level: Intermediate-due to the use of short rows and color working
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Experienced due to the use of short rows.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Intermediate: due to the use of cables. This pattern is written in the round for using the magic loop technique.
Knitting: Cape
Advanced (due to the use of short rows)
Crochet: Cowl
This is a great stash buster! You can use as many (or as few) colors as you like. The addition of the fun and fluffy yarn is completely optional and you can use is as much (or as little) as you want! I used Red Heart Super Saver due to is amazing color choices, but any equivalent yarn will work.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This rooster hat does require quite a bit of sewing pieces together, so if that tedious part annoys you, you may want to move on. BUT if you don’t mind that annoying detail, this is quite a fun hat to wear. I cannot be responsible for uncontrollable urges to put your hands in your armpits and do the chicken dance!
Crochet: Cowl, Beanie, Toque
This is a convertible hat/cowl that includes the directions to make either a toque/beanie style hat with a narrow cowl or a slouch style hat with a wider cowl. You have personal freedom within this pattern to make it your own fashion statement, using the notations provided.
