Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Designed for Lovelyarns in Baltimore, MD., this simple colorwork hat shows off a crazy color changing yarn by pairing it with a gorgeous tweedy wool/silk solid.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This cute, slouchy tam was designed with the Cowgirl Cowl by Pam Powers in mind: my sisted wanted a hat that matched.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
This is the pattern I used for the class I taught at Lovelyarns in Baltimore between 2006 and 2008. It’s very simple, but a little oddly written because I wrote it to explain clearly. Four sizes! Toddler, and women’s small, medium, and large. Gauge does count because the yarn is so stretchy. Size down if you’re in doubt.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a very simple, very intuitive, very customizable pattern for fingerless mittens. There’s lots of opportunity for making it to your liking, with stripes or cables or lace. It’s almost just a recipe.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Finished Measurements: Leg circumference = 8.5”; unstretched. Foot circumference = 8”; unstretched. This pattern (and this yarn) is rather stretchy, owing to both the stockinette and the cable action. And because of all the stockinette, the size can easily be altered by subtracting up to 24 stitches if necessary.
