Whatever your reasons for not wanting to work with wool, it can be frustrating to find projects that require needle-felting.
Knitting: Animal Toy, Wall Hanging
This pattern is suitable for intermediate to experienced knitters, though I always encourage adventurous beginners to give it a shot -- I’m always happy to answer questions that may come up!
Knitting: Animal Toy
Gauge for this project is not at all critical. Any sock weight yarn will do, using double pointed needles, size US 1, 2 or 3, depending on your preference.
Knitting: Animal Toy
This is a very easy pattern to work up. If you want a little practice knitting in the round on double pointed needles, this is a great way to get it!
Knitting: Animal Toy
This sweet little frog is very easy to knit. You will need to be able to knit in the round, increase, decrease, work an I-cord and work a picot bind off.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Frog Prince isn’t too hard to knit -- he can be a little fiddly (especially if you make him on tiny needles), but I think that advanced beginners to intermediate knitters will have no problem; if he were on Knitty, I’d probably call him piquant.

4 out of 5 biologists agree: Knitting in Biology 101 is the cutest biology project, ever! If you agree, then this, my friend, is the pattern for you.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Blob the Bunny is a pretty easy knit. If you can knit in the round, increase (I prefer yarn overs, but you can use whatever method is your favorite) and decrease, you can knit this bunny!
Knitting: Animal Toy
Jailbird is an intermediate level of difficulty, I would say. His body is pretty easy, involving knitting in the round on double pointed needles, increases and decreases. His feathers are knit flat, and require some seaming, and his legs are a simple series of increases and decreases in the round.
