These socks were inspired by my Ruska Sweater, the colorwork on the yoke. I thought that would look fun on socks as well. I imagine wearing these socks along with my Ruska sweater on hikes in the nearby forest, or just while knitting away at home on the couch.

I designed the Vesper sweater because I couldn’t find anything like this in the stores. I wanted something that looks Nordic, but not too traditional at the same time.

These are fun, all colorwork mittens with a folded edge. The idea behind the Hyacinth mittens came from the plentiful Hyacinth flowers. The design creates a flower-like motif at the top of the mittens.

My inspiration behind the Nuppu Socks came from nature. After every dark period, life brings new buds—small signs of hope that bloom just when we need them most. Halla socks are inspired by icicles. Halla is a Finnish word for frost.

I originally designed the Ruska Sweater (the rusty red version) with a competition in mind. The Finnish yarn brand Novita was looking for designs to celebrate 50 years of their most popular yarn, Seitsemän Veljestä.

The design is inspired by Nordic knitting traditions. Knitted in fingering weight yarns at a tight gauge with long cuffs to keep you extra warm anywhere, in town or on hiking trips.

Poinsettia socks are a comfy pair of lace socks knitted from cuff-down with a rather simple, but showy lace pattern and German short row heels.

These socks are inspired by the Finnish Forest and scrap yarns. Use tiny amounts of sock yarns to knit the mushrooms. Instructions are given for two width options with the same length. (length easily adjustable)
