The placemats are a very simple stockinette pattern with intarsia borders. A stitch is dropped every few stitches and unraveled in the cast off process. Yarn is then woven through the resulting ladders in the mats. The approximate final size of the mats is 17.25 x 12.25 inches. This pattern is highly adaptable to various materials and sizes.

This hat is very fitted. One size fits most. The yarn requirements seem high just because it’s assuming you are buying three different colours. It would be much less using stash yarn. The entrelac band is knitted flat then joined to work the crown in the round.

This is intended to be a large slouchy hat. If you decide you would like a snugger fit, you can always sew the desired length of gros grain ribbon to the inside ribbed border.
