Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
When I started designing this shawl, I knew I wanted to make something influenced by the natural world, and the color palette I received from Blue Sky Fibers instantly made me think of tumultuous clouds rolling overhead. The Mammatus shawl is named after those bumpy, lumpy clouds that often form before a storm.
Knitting: Cowl
I created the Forest Floor Cowl and a matching hat as a set for my Grandma. In the future, I will update this pattern so that it has more size options available as this is a rather snug cowl and we all know that “one size” does not necessarily fit all. Apologies that there is only one snug size ready for now.
Knitting: Scarf
This design was born because I had a similar scarf from a department store once. I lost it or gave it away, and wanted a replacement!
Knitting: Cowl
Ironweed proliferates in the Shenandoah Valley toward the end of summer. The countryside is taken over by its purple flowers mixed with the vibrant yellows of goldenrod and green-headed coneflower. A breathtaking sight during early morning walks and farm chores.
Knitting: Scarf
The right and wrong side of this scarf are not identical (see photos), but the wrong side looks nice as well. Not the quilted diamond pattern of the right side, but still visually appealing.
