This hat is designed for a newborn baby (about 11 inches in circumference). The colorwork is a single band of the pattern around the hat, shown in the pattern as a chart. Since the pattern takes relatively little yarn, it is a great way to use up stash yarn. I used red and white, but the color combinations are virtually endless.

These mitts were made to complete a set with the Hermione Hat I made for a friend. They came out very nicely and I think make a nice set.
