Knitting: Cowl, Shawl / Wrap
The LEAP YEAR WRAP (published 2016) was designed as a SUPER scarf/wrap for a BULKY/CHUNKY yarn, & for design sample purposes, I double stranded sport weight to achieve the bulky look.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
In 2023 Little Acorns was updated & a new, smaller option, worked differently, is now also included in the pattern.

Knitting: Cowl
My BOSTON CONNECTION COWL has been rewritten to a format in keeping with recent designs, & as well as that 2 (new) smaller sizes have been added, giving a total of 3 sizes for this 2024 edition of the pattern. Some very small changes have also been made to the design.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
1st cousin/s to TINSELITIS both versions of this symmetrical, triangular shawl, CHRISTMAS JOY, are knit from the TOP down, & begin by casting on the highest number of stitches required, knitting a foundation row, & then working simple decreases on each row, all the way to the end. You’re finished before you know it!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The stitches used in this shawl are mainly garter and eyelet based. An I Cord edge is knit in along one side, simply worked by following the directions as written, and increases are worked on every alternate row, on the opposite side. There is no decreasing. An I Cord bind off is used and simply explained.
Knitting: Cowl
A tubular cowl, knit in the round, Count Me In is a fun, mindless knit with 6 different stripe variations, mostly stockinette combos, but with a bit of extra texture included for added variety.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
In 2018 something happened, worthy of recording for posterity! My younger daughter looked at (another) one of my hat designs, saying, “perhaps you could make me one of these?” (words to that effect), then, “but could you change …?’’ Of course I could, since it was only the 2nd time in her adult life that she had asked me to knit her something. ...

TWO VERSIONS are included in this design.
Knitting: Cowl
The Festive Fever Cowl offers a few options for wearing owing to the size and versatility of the design.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
FINAL ENCORE was born out of a desire for a SUPER THICK, generous sized shawl to wrap around me, during a sudden cold snap over our New Zealand winter, in July 2021.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The GARTLET SHAWL (which looks great on both sides) features the same stitch patterns in my ENCORE, ENCORE 2 & FINAL ENCORE shawls, but differently combined, to produce an incredibly versatile boomerang shape instead of a top down triangle.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern offers both a Beanie Option (all sizes) and a Slouch Hat Option (adult sizes only).
Knitting: Baby Blanket
“You gain strength, courage and confidence, by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is an easy, meditative knit that you will be able to work on anywhere.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Kaimai Sunset is knit sideways, from tip to tip. All increases and decreases are on the right side and along the one edge. The prototype was knit from just ONE (original) CARON CAKE. 2 strands of fingering weight could also be used to create all manner of different effects.
Knitting: Cardigan, Shrug / Bolero
This design was inspired by my Leap Year Wrap pattern. I wanted to use the same stand out cabling used in the wrap, but the focus was on creating a staple wardrobe piece, perfect for wrapping around me, & snuggling into on cold winter days. I’m more than happy with how it turned out & have worn it most days since knitting it. One of the...

The Lollipop Scarf may be worn as a scarf or joined with a flat seam to form an infinity scarf, to be worn doubled or trebled.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I reknit this fun pattern in 2023, using Spincycle PLUMP, loving it so much that I updated the pattern to make this version the NEW design sample. Working with this fun yarn, I discovered that it produced a rather lovely ‘wrong side’ of the hat, so I am classing it as reversible.
Knitting: Cowl
A practical & fun, festive cowl, inspired by the purchase of a fun, indie dyed yarn from a NZ dyer. The colours shout watermelon to many Kiwi Knitters, a delicious refreshing fruit, often enjoyed in NZ over summer, & during the Festive Season. Coincidentally, the colours in the sample also shouted Christmas to me, so another festive des...

Mochaccino is a fun, casual piece knit using ONE ORIGINAL CARON CAKE or ONE LINCRAFT CAKE.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have a real thing for bobbles and texture and I decided that perhaps the time had come for something more distinctive and eye catching in my range of hat designs - and possibly, something also a bit more feminine looking.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This easy, symmetrical & reversible design makes effective use of garter stitch, stockinette stitch & eyelet rows. An I-Cord edge is incorporated along one side, & an I-Cord bind off is also worked. As a result you end up with I-Cord edges along both sides.
Crochet: Throw, Bedspread, Blanket - Other
In 2020, when I purchased a sampling of each colour then available in a new range of UK produced yarn, I knew I wanted to use them together in a design, envisaging a colourful crocheted throw.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A simple but effective knit & purl texture makes up the stitch pattern, for which there is a chart to follow. The chart is super easy to follow - it’s just knit and purl. And once you get going it’s VERY intuitive.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
QUARTET was designed in DK WEIGHT yarn & named for the minimum number of ways it may be styled/worn. 4 SIZES are included in this extremely versatile pattern, designed to fit children to large adults, with HEAD SIZES ranging from 45-65cm or 18-26’’
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Originally designed in DK weight Yarn using a 5mm/ US 8 needle, (SKEINZ PULSE) REST AREA was inspired by my Give Me Strength Blanket.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
When is a cabled hat not a cabled hat? When it’s a faux cabled hat, using a clever lace knitting technique that doesn’t require a cable needle! This is the hat for those who love the cabled look but not the process. The design lends itself easily to a more slouchy style, depending on the number of repeats required.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Originally designed in 2020, this pattern had a full & complete makeover in 2023.

Crochet: Hanging Ornament
A quick & fun crochet make for the Festive Season, these stars would make ideal hanging ornaments, gift tags, or … even garlands. I designed this star to ‘pop’ & not look flat. It is designed NOT to be blocked, as this would flatten it out too much. Of course, it is your choice whether to block or not.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Lolly Cake Shawl is asymmetrical and knitted from tip to tip. The design uses a variable stitch count pattern but is written so that an adventurous beginner should feel confident giving it a go…
