This lovely little hat was a very satisfying project to design and knit. The first couple of inches are a unique alternative to the standard ribbed brim, and once the lace section is done the stockinette is quick and easy to finish.

This is a fun but simple hat pattern that incorporates ribbing with three columns of textured cable stitches. The sport weight yarn knits up quickly; great for gift knitting.

This pattern can be knit out of any yarn, any gauge, with a needle size slightly larger than recommended for the yarn. The mango-colored sample shawl was made with about 800 yards (200 grams) of fingering weight yarn with US 6 & 7 needles, wingspan 96”, depth 24” after blocking.

2016 was a tough year for music lovers. One after another, we lost some of the greats: David Bowie, Merle Haggard, and Prince to name a few. Then just when we thought we were finally done, we got one last kick in the gut with the loss of George Michael on Christmas Day.

Arapaima is the ultimate One Skein Wonder. This pattern is intended to be knit from a single 100 gram ball of fingering weight yarn, which usually range anywhere from 400 to 500 yards.

This shawl pattern was inspired by the beautiful Blue Morpho butterfly. The outer edge has subtle diamond-shaped points and just enough black beads around the border to mimic the Morpho’s dark wing outline. There is a swath of intricate lace that looks like repeating butterflies surrounding a simple pattern of cocoon shapes.

Knitters often evolve past beginner status but aren’t quite sure where to go next. Jumping head first into lace knitting seems daunting. F-stop was designed with this in mind, to help ease the transition as you graduate to the world of more complicated stitch patterns.

EXTINCTION is a quick and easy shawl pattern. A slightly ribbed look is achieved by alternating sections of stockinette and reverse stockinette. Colors transition gradually into one another with linen stitch.
