You can use any worsted weight cotton yarn. If you’re using a fairly stiff kitchen cotton, like Lily Sugar ‘N Cream, you will want to wash them at least once before using them to remove eye makeup, so they’ll soften up.

Actually uses one worsted-weight (apprx. 1/2 oz. 25 yd.) and one bulky/super-bulky weight yarn (apprx 2 oz. 90 yd). I used Caron Simply Soft and Lion Brand Jiffy in my trial piece. Guage given is for Caron Simply Soft. There is no guage necessary for bulky yarn.
