Naturally, this is not surprising, because the first legends and eyewitness stories about this most mysterious reservoir in the world and the prehistoric monster living in it date back to the year 565. In addition to the myster...

Heather is a gentle and strong plant. It is a memory-keeper. Thickets of heather carpeting old stones hide and preserve the ancient history of their land. Beautiful and fragile, its bell-shaped flowers quietly hum in the wind long-forgotten songs. Like heather, this dress is strong and delicate; it will keep you warm and safe, when the harsh co...

Spring is a magical season. Fleeting and beautiful. The time when you feel the powerful beating of life in every blade of grass, in every bud, every petal. And the modest violet on the slope by the stream is just as beautiful and full of life-giving power as the magnificent flowers in the carefully grown garden.

Yesnaby is an area in Sandwick, on the west coast of the mainland of Orkney, Scotland, south of Skara Bre. It is renowned for its spectacular coastal cliff scenery. I have never been there, but the contour of the cliffs, their shapes and outlines merged in my imagination with magical Shetland lace. So this shawl was made: large, warm, comfortab...
Knitting: Dress
A fusion of linen lace and tweed in this loose-fitting dress with a hood reminds me of summer days in the village - a scent of freshly-cut grass, long days, smell like a drop of honey and pine sap melting in the sun. I want to spread my arms and sprawl on fragrant herbs, watching the light clouds slowly float across the sky.

Loch Lomond is the second largest and one of the most beautiful lakes in Scotland. The pattern of this stole reminds me of the Slavic style embroidery. Similar patterns can be found from the Balkans to the Volga. That is why I called this stole “Slavic song”.

The thistle has been the national emblem of Scotland for centuries. It is featured in many Scottish symbols and even on UK currency. According to one of the best-known thistle legend, in the mid 13th century, Viking forces landed on the coast of Scotland. During the night raid, one of their soldiers’ bare feet came down on a Scottish thistle. H...
