Knitting: Animal Toy
This cuddly bear (complete with a sweater!) is perfect for your next charity knitting project or as a toy for the children in your life. The pattern uses some advanced techniques, but it’s still a fairly quick knit and a great way for using leftovers of colored yarn.
Knitting: Containers
A simple bowl that could be used for all sorts of little things, from balls of scrap yarn to your favorite candy. It’s a great project for learning how to knit in the round or for showing off striped yarn since it uses basic stitches and isn’t very large!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
My grandma absolutely loves the berets I make for her. When her birthday rolled around this year, she inevitably wanted another. Summer Snowflake was the result!
Knitting: Scarf
This pattern is inspired by the majestic view of a waterfall at sunset. The mock cables in the center represent the water gracefully cascading down the mountainside while the color resembles the pink light of dusk. It’s a pattern that’s easy to memorize, but the effect is still lovely!
Knitting: Scarf
I love lace patterns almost as much as I love cable patterns. After making Tire Tracks, I got into writing lace scarf patterns--this is my second stab at one. Enjoy!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is easy to make, with a pattern created to fit anyone. And the best part? It’s unisex! I have a hard time trying to find things to knit for male relatives, and hats are usually my go-to for Christmas and birthdays. They’re quick, easy, and useful.
Knitting: Scarf
Tire Tracks is a simple, one skein project that could easily get done in a weekend. It consists of a seed stitch border, and a six row lace pattern that’s repeated throughout the scarf.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Decorative cables are usually found on the tops of mittens. I wondered what they would look like on the side of the mittens instead, and this pattern is the result of my curiosity. Made with bulky yarn, they’re sure to keep your hands warm while you’re working.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These gauntlets, made to mimic chainmaile, are perfect for that last touch to your renaissance faire costume, protection against your little brother’s menacing foam sword, or even for wearing around the house on a chilly day. The small size should fit a woman’s wrist snugly, but will stretch if needed.
