Marija Jurić Zagorka was the first female journalist and among the most read writers in Croatia. Most of her stories take place in the old part of my hometown, Zagreb. Zagorka’s female heroins are strong and fragile at the same time, and many Croatian girls, including me, have spent countless nights reading “just one more page”.

This is a free pattern that has only been test-knit once. It is very simple and easy to follow, but it is really long. That is the reason for not including photos with the instructions; it would be even longer! If you decide to give it a go, and find an error in the patten, let me know.

I made this pattern especially for armwarmers for my boyfriend. His hands get cold in front of the computer, and all the other armwarmers i saw either restrict the movement of the fingers, or they don’t really cover anything. So, here we have extra long cuffs, no thumb, and no finger coverage, so they cover just palms and wrists:)
