Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A triangular shawl with a pattern of diamonds within diamonds. The shawl was designed to make the most of one skein of I Knit or Dye Howlin’ and as such I used all but about 3 metres of yarn to make the shawl as described in the pattern. With this in mind you may find that you will need to have a second skein of yarn available if you are not us...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A triangular shawl comprising a series of diamonds with alternating lace patterns within those diamonds. This shawl was designed to make the most of one skein of I Knit or Dye Howlin’ and I had approximately 2 metres of yarn left after casting off. To ensure that you have sufficient yarn to make the shawl as large as I did you may need two skei...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A triangular shawl in the new Fyberspates yarn, Cumulus. The shawl has graduated colour created by using two strands of yarn either both the same colour or one strand each of two colours. I used four shades from the blue/green palette (Silver Green, Water, Sea Green and Teal) but it could easily be knitted in contrasting colours to create a com...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A charted pattern for a fairly simple lace shawl. Specifically designed to show off a very colourful variegated yarn it could also be knitted in a solid or semi-solid colourway. The shawl was also designed to use a full 400m skein of yarn and I know that I had very little (just a couple of metres) left when the shawl was completed.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A triangular shawl with a pattern of large eyelets that are arranged in the shape of diamonds. This pattern is suitable for a novice lace knitter as it is very easy to follow and doesn’t require anything more than basic knitting skills.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A shawl for the adventurous knitter having both lace knitting and knitted lace motifs.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A crescent-shaped shawl with a bottom edge of Van Dyke lace. This lace is a true knitted-lace (patterning on both right-side and wrong-side rows) and because of this the use of lifelines is highly recommended. In its simplest form this shawl uses 400m of sock/4-ply yarn but could be worked with laceweight/2-ply using a 3.25mm or 3.5mm needle, i...
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf features a well-known Shetland Lace design and is knitted lace (patterning on both right-side and wrong-side rows) rather than the more common lace knitting (patterning on right-side rows only). It is an excellent project for someone wanting to try knitted lace and the pattern contains both charted and written instructions.
