Knitting: Mittens
As with the Harvest Sunset Cowl, these mittens were inspired by a recent visit to glorious France in the summer season. My time there being spent relaxing and watching in awe, as the farmers, working hard, gathered in the crops well into the Sunset hours!

Cristaux Bleu Socks are inspired by a beautiful blue lagoon pool I visited on the stunning island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The Lava bubble pools are so clear and mirror-like in appearance and the Blue lagoon swimming pools are so inviting, I hope one day to visit that glorious island once again!.

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The inspiration for these socks came from a memory of the traditional French lace, as used on the many beautiful items of table linens available at the French Markets. Oh to be meandering through those picturesque streets of the stunning and colourful villages!

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The inspiration for the name of these socks came from a French countryman, with whom we attempt to speak with, with minimal success, when we are visiting our ‘much loved’ France. In the times of the Covid virus preventing us from travelling, I sit here wishing we were back there, just trying to understand his words of wisdom!

The Magnum Wrist warmers were an idea I had following the making of my Magnum Mittens!

Knitting: Mittens
Named ‘Magnum’ after my partner’s favourite UK rock band and his ‘best ever’ ice cream too!

Knitting: Cowl
This was one of these projects where the yarn ‘spoke to me’ and it was calling for frozen seas, ice crystals and a multitude of colours representing the arctic winter seas!

With a love of France and it’s beautiful countryside running through my whole being, I felt that I wanted to produce my pattern with a small link to remind me of my pleasure times spent there!. Hence the name choice for my pattern is a romantic Dinan, a stunningly beautiful place I hope to visit very often!!

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock boasts a really stunning lace panel pattern, repeated throughout the leg and down the top of the foot. With a different heel, providing a little extra thickness of fabric, to support the wear and tear of the heel, plus the added advantage of ‘no purl stitches’.

Grannie Jean’s Socks are made as a tribute to my late mum Jean. She loved hand knits and made many garments in her lifetime. She was thrilled to see the hand made socks making a ‘comeback’ and was looking forward to wearing her own pair, to remind her of her fun childhood days!
