Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Sometimes you need a really thick sock. Especially if your shoes are a little big. Or if you just want to finish knitting them faster. Or if your husband likes to slide around the hardwoods a la Tom Cruise. These socks meet all those needs and teach you a fun, new pattern stitch.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a slouch, or if you knit the ribbing only for one inch, a fitted hat. The textured stitch looks complex, but is really quite easy to knit. This yarn feels wonderful, but has no memory, so use a small enough needle with the ribbing to get the fit you want. If you are on a magic loop, just slide the hat down on your cable and try it on.
Knitting: Accessories - Other
The uniqueness is in the construction. Parts are picked up and added on in a modular fashion. Easy enough for beginners.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl works well as both a simple shawl which is shaped enough to stay on your shoulders and as a scarf worn with the triangle in front and the ends wrapped around the neck and falling to the front.
Knitting: Scarf
Use one skein for a scarf that overlaps and fits inside your jacket. Two skeins will make a scarf to wrap your neck and hang to the waist.
