This is a pattern for a cool, slightly oversized beanie/toque. There are two technique elements featured; A discreet cast on that looks almost invisible and an I-cord knitted in the round with the rest of the hat.

This pattern is primarily made as a basic pattern for a top-down mitten, although a description for a super bulky children’s mitten is used to tutor the technique.
