This was designed specifically for Red Riding Hood Yarns’ Ladies of Luxe Yarn Club 2015. The pattern remains exclusive for club members until the end of September 2015, when it will be made available for purchase here.

The day my firstborn met his lil bro for the first time, we placed baby in his arms to take photos and I caught him whispering “I wuv you” into his little brother’s ear. He held his brother really carefully and protectively and I thought to myself, “he’s suddenly all grown up…”.

“Sollicitude” is knit flat then, leaving the stitches on both ends of the piece live, blocked. Stitches are picked up on one long-side and closed up to fold the piece, and a small I-Cord loop is created. A length of I-cord is made and then strung through the live stitches, through the I-Cord loop and tied, creating the hat!

This jumper features a slightly wider neckline for those littlies who are starting to feign itchiness with our knits, a kangaroo pocket for them to collect their pebbles, acorns etc. and “elbow patches” for extra character! Choose buttons that reflect your child’s personality or preferences!
