Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This fun to knit pattern has the beautiful texture of cables without the hassle of using a cable needle. It features simple twisted stitches. The name is inspired by the challenging, popular trail of the Great Smoky Mountains by the same name. This design is perfect for an advanced beginner, yet challenging enough for a seasoned knitter.

This simple but effective design combines everything that makes a watch cap amazing - a wide warm brim to keep the ears and forehead cozy as well as a wonderful textured pattern that insulates and keeps the wearer’s head cozy.

The Wishful Hat was designed as a nice airy hat that helps the wearer stay slightly warm, but not too warm. I think it would make a nice hat on a crisp autumn day or a cool spring morning. It would also make a nice hat for someone undergoing chemotherapy treatment if knitted out of a soft fiber.
