We like simple, beautiful knits. This design has everything you need, it’s cozy, it’s over sized, it’s a hoody and it can be done in any soft yarn that get’s the correct gauge. We have used either Zen Serenity Worsted or Jade Sapphire 6 ply cashmere. Worked from the bottom up with seams, hood is picked up after you sew shoulders.

She inspires us to create so many wonderful sweaters and coats. This one uses Jennifer’s Cashmere however, it works up great in Filatura’s Zara 8. This 1950’s style jacket is inspired by the old CoCo Channel Jackets. This pattern stitch uses two size needles to work the stitch and it a fun change from your average stockinet sweater. Finishing touches include adding a bobble stitch of crochet up front and optional decorative flowers.
Knitting: Poncho
This over sized poncho is great for warmth or a night out on the town. We used a worsted weight yarn, merino or cashmere works great. The main bulk is done on a #9 needle. Optional For a dressier or fun look, we used S. Charles’s Crystal for 2 rows every 3-4” (combined with the worsted yarn) to give it a little glitz, subtle yet elegant.

This pattern is so fabulous (if we do say so ourselves). The cable pattern is a little complex but the basic shape is easy. Plus you knit two long scarves to form that braided finished edge. We used S. Charles Stella mixed with Filatura Superior.
