Knitting: Scarf
I put the name of this scarf out for suggestion on my Facebook page. Mine was “Flock of Birds,” but I preferred the name “Twilight,” (thank you Scott!) as it evokes so many things. The colour of the sky against trees in the evening--green against blue, pink, purple and mauve. It also marks a time when I let my grey go (thankfully 2019 marks the...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Heirloom Shawl was inspired by a shawl knit for my baptism by my Aunty Avril in Scottish Shetland lace wool; a delicate shawl that has become an heirloom in our family. This is a different design, but my version of a circular baptism shawl for baby or a work of art to wear on your shoulders on chilly days and evenings. My knitter Joan Kass ...
Knitting: Tote
This stashbusting bag is made with leftovers in your stash. Approx. 100 yds worth of 3 different yarns.
Knitting: Scarf, Cowl
If you think of the cliffs of Inishmore (Inis Mor), the largest island of the Arans on the west coast of Ireland, off Galway Bay, you can imagine the striations of rock on the cliffs. What better inspiration than an Aran Isle for my new cowl. I made the cabled neck warmer in Marks & Kattens Eco Ull so you can see the lovely hues of the natu...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Brecon Beacons is one of 3 National Parks in Wales. While living in the area, we used to walk these beautiful hills and paddle leisurely on Llangorse Lake then hit the pub for a Sunday Ploughman’s lunch. The Brecon scarf evokes the green and splendor of the beacons with added whimsy. There is value in the 5 versions you can make!
Knitting: Cardigan
This 3 piece ensemble can be made for boys and girls (imagine a fushia and pale pink stripe!).
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
Bren is Welsh for tree. I once lived there for four years. It’s a beautiful country, rich with history and the Arts. Small little roads take you up and down hills and valleys and into little, forests. The trees there are magical; moss covered gnarly, knotty bark that has been around a long time. This Cable Lace stitch evokes that knotty woodsy ...
Knitting: Slippers
Each ball of yarn should contain approx. 128 yards (117 meters). Instructions are given for with and without the Curly Toe!
Knitting: Ankle Sock
I enjoyed making and wearing these cozy little socks. The nice thing about them is they are so easy to make and you can add your own flare to them. You can change the motif, or do them in stripes. Or make them longer with more yarn. I almost put a bobble on the backs of them - could be cute!
Knitting: Cardigan
This one is done on 12mm circular needles from the bottom-up and then place on straight needles to do from the armholes- up plus the sleeves. The Front edges are finished with a single crochet, but directions are also given for strictly knitting.
Knitting: Pullover
I wanted this to be a retro feeling sweater and what better icon to ponder as a muse then the fashionable Jackie Onassis. I had struggled with the type of collar to put on this design. Once I thought of Jackie, it came in an instant.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
While Needful is discontinued (4mm needles), I’ve seen translate in sub yarns and even in thicker yarns, but you’ll need some math.
Knitting: Pullover
I made this short for the belly flaunters out there. But if you prefer it longer, buy an extra 2 balls and work a few rows to desired length, before the armhole shaping. There are dropped stitches throughout the reverse stocking stitch, along with a dropped stitch cuff. Note the cut, rolled collar.
Knitting: Placemat
Beads are optional. There are 382 various beads used. Makes 4 Placemats and one runner.
Knitting: Pullover, Beanie, Toque
The XC sweater was inspired by Norwegian après ski looks. Whether X-Country, Alpine or just looking good in the chalet, prepare to have people admire you wearing it.
Knitting: Pet Clothing
I’ve finally made Doggy Doodle available on Ravelry. One of my fav merino yarns and fav projects. Keep your pooch warm this winter!
Knitting: Cardigan
This is the meatiest project in my book, but well worth it! It is also the prettiest. For the experienced knitter who loves lace & intarsia.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
A beginner (or simply for a different look) can do this one without the cut-outs. Or try them for a little challenge!

Knitting: Vest
I like the simplicity and style of the Ski Lodge Scoop and Bag. The tall ribbing brings a sense of modernity to this easy knit. I could easily knit 3 for my wardrobe in different colors – and matching bags!
Knitting: Cardigan
Wool or cotton! I’d love to see someone do this quirky knit in a quirky variegated wool! Or a subtle, but sublime soft grey. It;s one of my first designs and my most popular kit back in the day and still holds a special place with me. Enjoy the challenging, but very interesting project!
