Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I was inspired by the church tower in my little town. The arches are decorated by stained glass and reflect beautifully in the snow. This is a beanie I created using leftover yarn from a previous project from Caron Cakes. Aran weight. I used approximately 65 yards with size 4.5mm needles. Pattern is in written format. The main stitches used are ...
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
It is just a simply knit dishcloth with a bit of a twist to keep it interesting. The bubble accent helps for the extra tough scrubbing on pots and pans.
Knitting: Mittens
I created this mitten pattern as a gift for a young lady. I wanted her to be able to have something different that not everyone else is wearing. I used 2 skeins for the main colour and one for the contrasting colour. The cable is worked on two separate needles and attached by picking up a stitch as you go along the already knitted portion of th...
Knitting: Mittens
I made these mittens because everyone needs a little help on the playground. :)
Knitting: Mittens
This is a mitten pattern I created for a young lady I recently met. She loves the colour pink. It is a simple mitten worked in the round that finishes quickly if you are somewhat efficient with two handed knitting. I have included a chart that you can use for other projects if you choose.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is my pattern for a Transformer Beanie. It is worked with a set of 5 double pointed needles. There are two contrasting colours required. The technique that help the hat move along quickly is 2 handed Fair Isle. I have included a chart for my image within the pattern. :)
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This has the illusion of a more advanced sock pattern. As long as you have mastered your knit and purl stitches, it is rather simple. The only tricky part, would be learning how to cable without a needle. I have included a chart to help explain the pattern. I had fun creating these socks. I like the idea of having purl stitches instead of knit ...
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This sweater is worked without any seaming whatsoever! It begins at the bottom and finishes at the shoulders. There is a bit of shaping of required, but with some measurements and handy stitch markers, it will knit rather quickly.
Knitting: Market bag (slouchy)
I really enjoyed this project. I designed it in such a way to eliminate seaming. The skills you will require to complete this bag are: casting on, stockinette stitch, knitting with two colours, and a creative whim.
