Knitting: Beret, Tam
Requires 16” US #10/6.0MM Circular needle and a 29” or longer US #17/12.75MM Circular needle. (or size needed to get gauge)
Knitting: Throw
Although this afghan was made with sock yarn, any weight yarn will make a lovely blanket. Make sure the needles you use are appropriate for the weight yarn with which you are working. If you make it using sport or DK yarn try a size 6 or 7 needle. If you use worsted weight an 8 or 9 might be appropriate. Try to keep to yarns of the same weight,...
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
You’ll need 100 yards of scrap yarn. Sock weight, worsted weight, or feltable wool yarn will make 1 bag.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Makes good use of long color repeats in Noro yarn. May substitue Kureyon or any worsted yarn of your choice.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Fun sock to knit. The Breeze has a touch of Lycra - the sock gently hugs the foot.
Knitting: Market bag (slouchy)
Pattern includes 2 sizes, and various colorways. The linen stitch on the bottom can be tedious, but, the rest of the bag works up quickly. Some of my students used a smaller needle size. This bag was one of the most fun projects that I have ever worked on.
Knitting: Scarf
One scarf uses bulky weight, one uses worsted weight and one uses DK weight. I used Zitron Unicat, Bollincine Etoile and Noro Silk Garden Lite.
Knitting: Scarf
We’ve updated this pattern with available yarn suggestions. Edited the format and added new photos.
Knitting: Toeless Sock
My friend, Cassandra, requested this design. She hates cold toes, but loves her pedicures. Other pedicure socks ride up - these won’t.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fit a man’s medium hand. For a women’s medium or a man’s large, try using a different stitch gauge or a larger or smaller size of needles.
