Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Worked from the cuff to the bind off, these stranded fingerless mitts include instruction for a full mitten version. Please accept this as a small gesture of unity as we all focus on our health.
Knitting: Mittens
This is an entertaining mitten to knit with polka dots in as many colors as your stash can supply. The background yarn is caught behind the dots throughout, allowing for a simplified “stranded intarsia” effect. The mitten is begun and worked in the round, except for rounds with dots where you will be working intarsia in the round, which is work...
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Cowl
Note on Hat Sizes: The recommended gauge of 4.25 sts =1” will give you finished brim circumferences of 19.75 (22.5, 25.5)”, but you can adjust hat size to in-between sizes by using a different gauge. Keeping to the same instructions, here are your likely results based on different gauges.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is cast-on in the center using a provisional method, and worked using short rows to build wedge-shaped blocks in alternating colors.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The official knit shawl of the 2017 Knit North yarn crawl, March 16-19th. For further details, see the Knit North website.
Knitting: Cardigan
It seems to me that sheep are a knitter’s spirit animal, and who among us can resist their wooly promise of yarn-to-be? Knit a sweater decorated with sheep for your young one, and see if they don’t become a knitter too.
Knitting: Cowl
Errata: In the original pdf, the Third Chart in rows 8-14 had a typo in the form of a “no stitch” which should be obvious while you are knitting it. The new version is now available, and was also sent out 3/21/16 with the corrected chart.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Pullover
The hat and sweater are written as an introduction to Intarsia-in-the-Round. Be brave! This Shark won’t bite.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater is worked seamlessly and in one piece from the neck down, and mostly in the round. The intarsia star is worked in the so-called “in the round” method, and the technique is described in detail for an invisible join. Video instruction for my method is posted on YouTube here.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
Worked in the round, this hat is a cloche or “box” style with vertical sides and a flat top, featuring a strong horizontal cable that is especially flattering for long oval and rectangular faces.
Knitting: Cardigan
An adult sweater with a whimsical heart. Thank you to the knitters who loved knitting my baby sweater pattern Welcome to the Flock enough to also ask for a grown-up version for themselves. And what knitter doesn’t love sheep just a little too much?

Errata: page 3, “At the same time, work all charts as set for 7 (7, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12) more rows” should read “At the same time, work all charts as set for 8 (8, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12) more rows.”

Knitting: Brimmed Hat
A put it on and forget it brimmed hat with a colorful flair (or not) of garter ridge stripes. Perfect for those of us with curly hair, since the brim style won’t squash your curls. Embellish with a button, or flip up the brim. Give it your own twist and try not to smile when you wear it.

Knitting: Pullover
Errata: The current version of the pattern has omitted instructions for where to place the stripes on the right arm band. Until an update can be issued, here’s what you need to know: The stripes are each two rows deep, and are separated from the arm band chart by two rows of background color.
