It’s officially my last tote bag pattern of the year! I was looking at an old letter I received a while back, and was completely inspired by the XOXO at the signature!

I’ve officially jumped on the pocket shawl bandwagon, BUT I’ve done it in my own way. This pocket shawl is lightweight and lacy. The butterflies flying up from each pocket are reminiscent of an entire flock of them flying from flower to flower, and the lovely intarsia/colorwork daisies add a fun floral dimension to the shawl.

Let me introduce to you the Puff Showcase Tote Bag. I LOVE texture, and this bag screams texture from the mountaintop. I used FIVE different puff stitches, separated by lines of post stitches, keeping it orderly while still showing off how special each stitch is!

It’s no secret that my favorite marine animal is the octopus. They’re just so smart! I got my daughter the Inky the Octopus picture book, and we love to read it at bedtime! Plus you hear stories about how an octopus knew it was being drawn, so it adopted artistic poses every 5 mins, or escaped its cage just to throw a bad shrimp at its caretake...

A while back I saw an amazingly detailed elephant pillow pet. It was totally different, made with thin yarn, the ears were a virus pattern I think, etc. It wasn’t a TOY, it was a nursery statement piece. But I wanted a chunky yarn version so that I wouldn’t feel bad if my daughter was rough with it.

Finally, the third part of the Toddler set is here! The set is complete, and now you can make the sunhat! When I was a child I got sunburned - a LOT. So I’ve been trying to keep my child safe in the sun, which means staying in the shade, applying lots of sunscreen, and - of course - a hat to match every outfit!

Big Brother Owl (see my other patterns) needed a Little Sister, and I had just enough yarn to make her! The two patterns are very similar, just slightly different in size. If Big Brother is the perfect Pillow, then Little Sister is the perfect cuddle toy. It’s just the right size to put little arms around for a cuddle!

This is the first in a set of 3 toddler long loop patterns. I’ve started with the shirt, cause the long loop stitch can be difficult to get used to, and by doing it a couple times on the base of this shirt, you’ll be more than ready to take on the skirt and sunhat.

This textured tote bag is great for spring! It features a long loop stitch with 4 single crochets on its top, which looks a lot like a shorter broomstick lace! In a shell pattern it works up quickly and has lots of stretch to it.

I’ve fallen in love with this Long Loop Shell pattern, and decided it needed to be a sunhat! I love this stitch in particular because it’s reminiscent of Broomstick Lace, but you don’t need another tool, which is great.
