Inspired by beautiful images of the kelp forests of the Pacific Coast, and armed with some amazing yarns, I tried to emulate the vertical-majesty of the kelp plant. The pattern follows the plant from the holdfast to the surface and takes you with it!

Who hasn’t been inspired by dinosaurs at one time or another in their life? This series of hats is simultaneously inspired and (hopefully) inspiring to others. Call them “Dino Hats” or “Dragon hats” but definitely make one for all your beastie-loving family and friends!

The three M’s stand for “Malabrigo Multi(color) May”! The Ravelry Group called Malabrigo Junkies held a small event in the month of May 2016 to showcase Malabrigo’s amazing multicolored yarns. This event inspired me to create a 1-skein pattern using my beloved base: Twist in colorway Plena. I loved this skein but could never quite find somethin...
Knitting: Ankle Sock
This is a simple, toe-up anklet that starts out in the round and switches to back-and-forth knitting for the opening. The heel is worked FLAT in short rows and is grafted together as the final step.

This is a lovely way to use those hand painted skeins of yarn in a way that shows off the color! Use the color as a backdrop for a structured “lattice” design and then drape it about your neck!
Knitting: Bag - Other
A skein of Rasta is often like looking at a beautiful puddle of paint. Why not create a “bucket” to show off the beautiful colors?
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Fingerless Gloves
A fortuitous discovery of pattern, at a time when I was desperately trying to find something unisex for a pile of holiday knitted-gifts. Choose a favorite color (or colors, this pattern works well with variegated yarns as well!) and size and these can fit just about anyone on your list!
Knitting: Tote
Ever lusting after that skein of Super Bulky but unsure what to make with just one? This is the quandary I experienced not long ago when confronted with my first purchase of Malabrigo Yarn’s Rasta line. Amazing colors and so soft, truly irresistible! After finding myself with several single skeins of the gorgeous stuff, I wondered what kind of ...

A chic woman-about-town pattern! Experiment with different color combinations and have some fun!

Looking like a ballerina in her tu-tu, what girl doesn’t like ruffles? Make two for Mother-Daughter days!

Little drops of honey peek from the evenly spaced ‘combs’… a sweet treat of a bag!

Knitting: Headwear - Other
Using a very simple cable for some texture and ribbing at the edges, this hood is a very attractive addition to your hoodless coats! I also find that I prefer it to a snug-fitting hat sometimes, when I do not wish to squash my hair!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I wanted to create a pair of socks using a lovely sport weight yarn I had gotten from Sundara Yarns. (I have discovered it also works with BMFA Socks that Rock Heavyweight!) when I re-discovered the Trellis and Gate pattern I knew instantly that’s what I would use for these socks. It’s a fast knit because of the yarn weight and I think it looks...
