This is a posh headband I knit for a friend who doesn’t like to wear a hat but who needed something to keep warm.

This is my idea of the seaman’s scarf but in a bulkier yarn.

I got my hand on this wonderfully soft yarn and wondered what pattern would be best with it. I wanted a special stitch that wouldn’t require a lot of looking at the pattern. The basketweave stitch is easy to memorize and easy to figure out from the aspect of the knitting.
