Knitting: Mittens
This mitten design features various traditional Norwegian features knit in a non-traditional method. The motivation for the design was to illustrate an alternate technique for knitting the thumb.
Knitting: Mittens
This mitten uses a bulky yarn so that the project will move along quickly. The primary motivation for this pattern is to illustrate an alternate technique for knitting the thumb. I like to line this mitten with a light weight yarn for additional warmth.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Similar construction and size as the original Cables and Moss Watch Cap pattern except this hat is worked in sport weight yarn with fewer cast on stitches and is designed to be reversible.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Similar construction and size as the original Cables and Moss Watch Cap pattern except this hat is worked in worsted weight yarn with fewer stitches and is designed to be reversible.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Basic watch cap with cabled cuff. Top section is worked in moss stitch so that it will be reversible - the inside of the top section will become the outside of the hat. This allows the cables to show when cuffed. Hat can be made in different sizes or with different weight yarn by using any multiple of 6 for the cast on.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The paper version of this pattern is available at Yarn Harbor in Duluth. You can link to see additional projects through this listing.
Knitting: Pet Clothing
The pattern is written for a medium sized dog. However, the knitter is encouraged to measure the dog it is intended for as the knitting progresses. I wrote the pattern to support the Humane Society (aka Animal Allies). Please make either a sweater donation or a small financial donation to your local Humane Society!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern was written to explain how to incorporate my Not-So-Basic (N-S-B) technique of working the thumb before finishing the hand of a mitten or mitt. This technique leads smoothly into the creation of a little gusset above the thumb to allow some ease in that area.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is the first pattern I have attempted to add to Ravelry. I am definitely on the upside of a learning curve!! Send a personal message (PM) if you are interested and are having difficulties.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This mitt is basically a tube of K3, P2 ribbing with a thumb! It is quite stretchy when completed so will fit a variety of hands quite well.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern was designed for the Northern Lights Affiliate of the Minnesota Knitting Guild. Feel welcome to distribute for charity knitting purposes!
