This pattern can be sized down (from adult) simply by using a smaller hook. Knowledge of Foundation Double Crochet is helpful but not required. Knowledge of Front Post and Back Post stitching is required for this particular pattern, however, you may choose to work another type of brim for your hat if you desire.
