Knitting: Ankle Sock
These ankle socks are great for using up scrap sock yarn or mini skeins. Half twisted rib gives a crisp look to the cuff and thin stripes that coordinate with the contrast toe and heel create a classic athletic vibe. Work them as shorty socks or extend the leg for a retro tube sock look.
Knitting: Cowl
Chock-full of texture, the chunky chevron cowl is a quick-to-knit neck warmer that works equally well in handspun or ready-made yarn. Try it in a solid color to make the knit-purl texture pop or work with a multicolored yarn for a more subtle chevron pattern.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
The Subtly Striped Socks are worked top down in two colors of fingering weight yarn. They feature contrasting cuffs, German short row heels, and elongated wedge toes. Instructions are given for “shortie” ankle length socks or traditional crew (mid-calf) socks.
Knitting: Throw
This thick, squishy blanket will keep you warm and add a splash of fun to the room. It’s worked in two colors of bulky yarn for a marled effect. Contrasting fringe adds a playful edge treatment. This project is beginner-friendly.
