Crochet: Costume, Decorative - Other
Skeletons Snakes are slithery Halloween decorations made from any fine lace weight yarn or cotton crochet thread. They’re flexible enough to be positioned for maximum creepiness. Whether they’re wrapped around a hand rail, coiled in a corner or mounted in an apothecary jar they’re suitably scary.
Knitting: Scarf, Shawl / Wrap
Violaceous is a subtle lace chevron pattern with dramatic impact. The word itself is an adjective for purple and a kind of play on words for the name of this scarf: “delicious violet lace scarf.” I’m making mine in only in shades of violet and red, but feel free to work this pattern up in your own colors.

Unlike many Halloween creepies, spiders are real. Anatomically correct arachnids are much scarier than most knitted counterparts even when supersized. This pattern includes instuctions for two different varieties and for adding details that make them even more lifelike.
