The Burlington Hat is knit completely in mistake rib. This stitch makes the hat extremely stretchy and squishy, so each knit size will fit many sizes of heads. It is also completely reversible.

The Tralee Hat uses twisted stitches to showcase hand-dyed yarn depicting a stylized rose motif. We named the hat after Tralee, which is well-known for its international rose festival. Twisted stitches are essentially 2-stitch cables, but knit without a cable needle.

Etobicoke is an inner suburb of Toronto. Many of the streets are numbered down by Lake Ontario, and this hat was inspired by the ordered streets. To make the hat longer into a slouchy beanie, simply add repeats of the 8-row purl and knit design.

The Riyadh pattern includes instructions for both a cowl and an adult sized hat. The cowl has a small and larger size, one using worsted weight yarn, the other using fingering weight yarn. The cowl is knit in the round, so there is no grafting!
