Knitting: Cowl
This simple slipped stitch colorwork technique is easier than it looks! Only one strand of yarn is used at a time, and the yarn not in-use gets carried up every 2 rounds when switching between colors.
Knitting: Cowl
Suitable for a knitter with basic skills, this garter stitch cowl is worked on the diagonal using a simple kfb (knit front & back) increase and k2tog (knit 2 together) decrease. Uses a provisional cast on to seam it with a 3-needle bind off, but you can also use a standard cast on and sew the edges together.

This classy hat is knit in a k3, p1 ribbing to start; then continues on larger needles in stockinette stitch. “Nube” is a Spanish word meaning ‘cloud,’ and, like a cloud, Katia Nube yarn is lightweight and super soft---one couldn’t ask for a nicer material to keep your head warm! Add a faux fur pom pom to finish it off - either Pompon Polly or ...
Knitting: Cowl
This simple slip-stitch colorwork technique is easier than it looks. Only one strand of yarn is used at a time, and the yarn not in use gets carried up along at the beginning of each round. This pattern works well with any two colors of fairly high-contrasting super-bulky-weight yarns. This is the same pattern as the “Brick and Mortar Cowl,” bu...

The Perulana Hat uses one skein of Gedifra Perulana yarn, beginning on size US 11 needles, changing to size US 17 after a 5-round ribbing. The chevron texture is incorporated in the next 6 rows, and the hat finishes off in stockinette stitch. There’s just enough pattern to challenge new knitters and, with the addition of a big, bright pom pom (...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl has a sophisticated look and cool texture, and it takes only one skein of super bulky yarn. (We used Malabrigo Rasta, but it would be equally nice-looking with Mirasol Ushya, Gedifra Perulana or Katia Nube). It follows a not-too-difficult 4-row pattern for the main section, followed by a 7-row buttonhole band to finish. Use size US 17...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Here it is---a cute, easy, knitting-in-the-round-from-the-bottom-up baby hat. We used Araucania Yumbrel DK yarn, a colorfully variegated hand-painted, washable cotton yarn---perfect for babies. You can, of course, choose another dk weight yarn for this fun project.

Apologies - there seems to be a glitch and the .pdf isn’t showing up. Will have it fixed soon!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Large needles and super-bulky yarn make this a great hat pattern for anyone looking for a quick, one-skein project! It’s also a great pattern for beginners. Shown in Malabrigo Caracol, colorway Diana.
