Knitting: Cowl
Liam’s cowl is a single loop cowl that is warm and beautiful with a 5 strand braid and textured stitch background. It knits up fast enough to be a rewarding weekend knit and is so addictive you won’t be able to stop at just one! This is a perfect Christmas gift knit.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl has so many possibilities for different looks depending on your yarn choices. You can do bold contrasts, subtle shades, a neutral paired with a contrast color, a scrappy cowl with left over yarn, a variegated yarn with a matching trim, or a gradient set with a contrast color. With so many possibilities it is fun to re-knit and you can...
Knitting: Cowl
This fun cowl knits up quickly thanks to the bulky weight yarn it calls for, with an easy to learn stitch pattern. You can wear it on your neck, but it is also sturdy enough to pull up over your mouth for particularly cold days. It will be the perfect cute and functional accessory for use under your winter coat, and an awesome gift knit!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Fingerless gloves are a staple for my kids in the winter. They can be worn around the house, or outside in chilly weather and because they don’t impede small hands from exploring they are not immediately removed as most hand gear typically is with young children. In very cold weather they are perfect to add an extra layer under mittens too. Plu...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
In creating this pattern I was seeking a balance between beauty and practicality and hope these mitts succeed by provide visual interest without losing their purpose of keeping your hands warm. Fun to knit, but not overly complicated they will make a perfect small project for many.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern is a simple, elegant fingerless glove that shines in a solid or semi-solid yarn with a tight twist. It features a variation on the classic braid cable with a touch of lace for a delicate detail.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
A fun, textured fingerless glove. The stitch pattern is stretchy so it will fit a wide range of sizes comfortably. There is no cabling required!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This poem sprung to mind as I was working on this pattern. It seems at first glance that the stitches are meandering aimlessly, but the reality is they are going exactly where they need to in order to create this simple, but elegant, lace pattern. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I enjoyed watching it take shape.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I love fingerless gloves for chilly days when you need to be able to use your fingers, but want to keep your hands warm. The long cuff on these gloves ensures that your wrists will stay warm and covered even if your shirt sleeves ride up. I love that this cable is simple, but not boring. The braid is intentionally off-set.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Dunloe is a slouchy hat with an interesting spin on a braided cable incorporated into the design. The braid is set into the hat so it appears that the strands are woven rather than set apart creating a subtle design that does not overwhelm.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I created this pattern when I quickly discovered my toddler would not keep mittens or gloves on because it prevented his fingers from exploring. It’s a nice easy knit and the perfect way to keep little hands warm and looking super cute!
