This lovely half pi shawl was inspired by the beautifully colorful and intricate Rangoli designs of India. I made this Rangoli shawl to celebrate Diwali this year and thought the mosaic technique in knitting is a perfect way to capture some of these shapes and colors. This color block scarf is a homage to my old college town of Pittsburgh, PA. The steely yarn color reminds me of the grittiness and industrial history of Pittsburgh and the golden yarn reminds me of all of the warmth and charm the city has to offer. It’s no wonder that these two colors can be found all over the city.
