Knitting: Pullover
An adult version of the children’s sweater Frost. A traditional Icelandic yoke design and a fitted cut make this sweater traditional but wearable.
Knitting: Cardigan
This is an adult cardigan inspired by the many, many Frozen sweaters for little girls. I wanted to make something more grown up but still kind of “frosted” or “Frozen” like. I also love snowflakes as a pattern and being from Iceland … oh well it just all fits so well.
Knitting: Pullover
This is a simple pullover that looks like it has been turned inside out, i.e. with the purled side facing out. It’s knit top down and in the round.
Knitting: Onesies
I first made this onsie for my older daughter when she was about 9 months old. I wanted something warm for her to wear outside in the stroller. I was looking for something that looked traditional Icelandic so I made this one up using inspiration from various nordic knitting magazines and from around the web.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Warm fingerless mittens for women inspired by traditional Icelandic designs. Knit with Icelandic Létt-lopi (or any aran or worsted weight wool).
Knitting: Cowl
Brioche infinity scarves seem to be very popular these days (at least here in Iceland), but why buy a commercially made scarf when you can easily knit one?
