Inspired by my husbands hand-dyed silk, these cabled fingerless mitts will make anyone feel as lovely and graceful as Ludovico Einaudi ‘s piano compositions, as played in Knotty By Nature.

Inspired by the Habu Mohair Sweater, no. 110. I loved the combination of the ultra fine mohair, silky and soft with the heavier tsumugi silk, and wanted to apply it to a thin scarf.

Knit in the round, this hat is a loose fit. The pattern was developed from a reconstruction of an old toque on its last legs. The hat reminded me of the story about the Mad Trapper who was buried in Aklavik, my father’s hometown.
