I cut the yarn at times to start at a different part of the ball so that I would not have squares of the same color next to one another.

The body of the purse is done in double seed stitch. The strap is a simple cable. Cute and easy to knit! Great beginner project!

This is a great way to learn how to do reversible cables!

Scarf was 5 ½” wide and 65” long before pockets (after blocking). The one I made had pockets about 4 1/2 inches deep, so that made the length of the scarf after pockets were sewn 56”. To lengthen the scarf, simply use two skeins, knit to desired length making sure you allow extra length for the pockets.
