This lovely striped scarf is primarily worked in the moss stitch. The size is easily adjusted to suit your style. Worsted weight yarn works well but for more of a rustic feel look for a handspun 2 ply yarn from a local spinner.

This pattern combines crochet with basic weaving to make a delightfully thick fabric with a unique look. The pattern starts by making a mesh followed by long chains to be woven into the mesh. The picture uses a handspun thick and thin yarn but could easily be substituted with aa super bulky or jumbo weight yarn.
