Knitting: Cardigan
Duluth Minnesota had record snow over the winter of 2022/2023 - 140 inches. I have commemorated that event with this simple Nordic-style cardigan with optional waist shaping and pockets. It’s knit in the round from the bottom up, with steeked front and armholes, and features I-cord edging. Positive ease. There are 13 sizes for teens and adults.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a rectangular scarf or wrap with coffee bean motif worked in intarsia, in three sizes. The lines in the beans may be worked as intarsia or duplicate stitch.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The wildflowers in my neighbors’ yards remind me of the flowering fields I grew up with in New Jersey. Yellow, blue, purple, pink, or orange - the colors and plants may change with the seasons, but the overall patterns of color remain the same. This shawl is a modified triangle showing a stylized field of wildflowers, worked in stranded knitting.

Knitting: Pullover
This is a three-color Nordic-style dropped-shoulder pullover with steeked neck and armholes. Colorwork techniques include stranded and Ladder back jacquard (LBJ). Steeks are secured by felting. Outside references are included for LBJ and felted steeks.

This is a Norwegian-style unisex cardigan, knit in the round with steeked front and armholes. Patterns are centered on front and back. Includes optional pockets on front of sweater. No waist shaping. Basic patterns are lice stitch and running Samoyed dogs, knit in Ladder-Back Jacquard. Cuffs and bands worked in contrasting colors.

This is a scarf inspired by a trip to SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) held in Asheville, NC in October 2022: Blue Ridge Mountains, fall foliage, winding roads, falling leaves, bamboo stands, and yarn everywhere you look!

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was designed to commemorate an October 2022 trip to the Asheville, NC area to attend the SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair). We took in sights including Black Mountain, Brevard, Hendersonville, and the Biltmore Estate. October’s colors were spectacular along the Blue Ridge Parkway, as were the ubiquitous white squirrels.

I grew up in the mid-Atlantic region of the US, and now live on Lake Superior in the Midwest. Nor’Easter storms are quite common in both areas, and are always awe inspiring. This shawl celebrates the power of a Nor’Easter storm: whipping winds, crashing waves, torrential rain or snow. The shawl is worked in 1 or 4 colors with 7 sections.

This is an elegant long-sleeved cardigan or pullover for girls and women. The even cable and lace pattern holds its shape well. Lightly blocked, this is a warm and cozy sweater.

Knitting: Scarf
Inspired by a rock wall I saw in Cornwall, the texture in this scarf approximates the layers of the angled stacked rocks. One size: 12” by 66” (30.5 cm by 168 cm) when blocked.

This triangular shawl celebrates the autumn phenomenon of trees shedding their leaves, featuring a cascade of falling leaves with garter edges. Leaves are created in diagonal “strands” which end at different lengths.
