Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Rose Pink Capelet joins the series of shoulder shawl patterns in my collection designed to remain in place while being worn.
Knitting: Cardigan
Silky Wool makes this cardigan a three season sweater. The wool and silk yarn drapes beautifully and the two colors add a sportiness to the sweater. The upper part of the bodice, all of the trims and the collar (except for edging, worked in main color) are knitted in the contrast color. Closure of the sweater is accomplished by contrast color I...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Cascade Heritage is a lovely yarn with which to work, very soft to touch; it drapes beautifully. The passion flower color is a muted purple heather. Any soft fingering weight yarn could be used to make this shawl.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This capelet was designed for a good friend who loves pink and black. The pink and black multicolored Deep Dyed Yarns Align (80% superwash merino and 20% nylon), together with the soft sport weight black Cascade Longwood Sport yarn inspired this pattern. Deep Dyed Yarns are located in the Ravelry list of yarns but Deep Dyed Yarns Align is not m...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This crescent shawl is begun by knitting a narrow lace panel 84 inches in length. The lace pattern is illustrated by a graph. Then stitches are picked up along each long side. After stitches are picked up on the lower aspect, the number of stitches is increased by approximately 9% to allow for the bottom curvature. Then a narrow edging is knitt...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl joins my series of patterns for warm shoulder shawls. Its name stems from the beautiful red wool purchased during a recent visit to Norway.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap

This shawl is knitted in 5 sections, with a multicolored hand painted yarn, from the neck to the bottom of each section. Then stitches are picked up and knitted along each upright side with the solid yarn to form inter-section panels which are jo...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This garter stitch baby blanket or lap robe measures 25” by 26”. Stitches for the wider end of the blunted green triangle (more accurately a parallelogram) are cast on and then 2 stitches are decreased every 6 rows. The first stitch of each row is slipped purlwise with yarn in front. Stitches are picked up along the angled sides of the triangle...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
My new grandson’s blanket was knitted using mitered squares (four of them) with two contrasting colors. Edge stitches for the first square were cast on using a provisional cast on. Each square is shaped using a 2 stitch decrease on the center three stitches of each right side row. The colors are alternated every two rows; the unused yarn is car...
Knitting: Cape
The construction of this capelet is based on a saddle shoulder construction that extends to the bottom of the shawl. The back and fronts are knitted separately and top edges are shaped using short rows.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern is a replacement for my “Red Lace Stole”. Directions for the red lace stole remain, but in addition, there are now directions for a sport weight version of the stole.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This stole is a light shawl, just right for a cool evening or when a little extra warmth is required. It is knit from a lovely fingering weight yarn from Camel City Dyeworks-color Buttercup. Two skeins of the Salem HT yarn are required.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is constructed by knitting a center medallion; stitches are then picked up and knit on either side of the medallion to form the “wings”. The design/graph of the medallion is based on a chart (Figure 76, Lace 25) from A Fourth Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G. Walker.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Four identical triangles are knit from the neck to the bottom. The lace pattern of the triangle is presented as a chart. Stitches are picked up along the sides of the triangles, then the triangles are joined with a 3 needle bind off. A schematic is provided to give you a better idea of the construction. A few rows of garter stitch finish the bo...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Madelinetosh Tosh Sport is the name of the yarn from which this stole was knit. That yarn was not one of the options under Yarn choices. Madelinetosh is a lovely yarn and knit up beautifully, but any soft sport weight yarn can be used.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Petals Shawl is the second in a series of DK/worsted weight shoulder shawl. Like the first shawl in this series, Butterfly, as well as the series of shoulder shawls using bulky yarn in my Ravelry store, it is presented without cost so that you can knit it to provide warmth and a sense of caring to each recipient.
Knitting: Bonnet, Scarf
This pattern is a combination of hat and scarf. It prevents cold air from chilling that space of your neck between hat and scarf.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Butterfly Shoulder Shawl is the first in a series of shoulder shawls using dk/worsted weight yarn. It required almost all of the yardage of 5 skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash Merino.
Knitting: Vest
Both vests start the same way--with a provisional cast on for the upper part of vest. Then decreases are knit at the four corners for multiple ridges and then bound off for the neck. The pullover vest can be constructed either in the round or front and back are knitted separately and seamed. The cardigan can also be knitted down in one piece or...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shoulder shawl is the fourth in my series of shoulder shawls. Each one has been knit in bulky yarn. This particular shawl is similar in shape to the previous ones and has a collar for warmth.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shoulder shawl is the third in a series of shoulder coverings meant to provide warmth and a sense of caring to its wearer. I want to dedicate this entire series to a very dear friend of more than 30 years, who passed away just a couple of days ago. She was a matriarch, a very dear woman, who thought of others before she thought of herself,...
Knitting: Earflap Hat
This hat was designed for confirmed Tennessee fan, but many other logos could be substituted in the stockinet blocks using duplicate stitch or intarsia.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is the second in a collection of shoulder shawls or wraps. My intention in designing this collection is to provide free patterns for knitters to make wraps that provide warmth and a sense of caring to each recipient.
Knitting: Cape
This capelette is knit entirely in garter stitch and shaped using short rows. Because it is knit in garter stitch, you do not have to worry about knitting the wrap with its stitch.
Knitting: Cardigan
This swing cardigan has a feather and fan border at the bottom of the body and three quarter sleeves. Extra sts are cast on to compensate for the curves of the lace pattern and then decreased below and above the lace pattern. The sweater is worked in one piece to the armholes, then the fronts and back are knitted separately.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a garter, striped and curved stole, presented in two sizes. The unequal striping is accomplished with short rows and the curve is achieved with decreases in each of the stitch sections.

Directions for three sizes are provided: small: 19” circumference-older child or small woman; medium: 21” circumference-woman; large: 22.5” circumference-man.
Knitting: Dress
Most little girls like ruffles. This dress has ruffles at hemline and around the armholes. It was conceived of as a summer dress, but actually it could be worn through three seasons, if combined with a short or long sleeved shirt and tights or leggings. Also since little ones grown tall so fast, there is no waistline. Leggings can be worn with ...
Knitting: Cowl
This small modular cowl is the little sister of the “Modular Cowl in Three Colors”. Its construction is the same-small modular squares joined as you knit on a circular base. Dimensions of the small cowl measure 5” by 22” in circumference.
Knitting: Cowl
This modular cowl is knitted with three colors of wool in garter st. But it could be easily made with just two colors or with 4 colors. The cowl measures 41” in diameter by 9” high. The cowl is begun in the middle using a provisional cast on.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This had is knit with three colors. Two of the three colors are used in the ten square modules that make up a portion of the body of the hat. The other color or a combination of the three colors can be used for the ribbing or the top of the hat.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Your baby can always use another blanket. They are so much fun to make. I hope you think this one is also.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap

The graph is divided into 3 sections: the bottom section (worked once), the middle section (worked three times) and the top section (worked once). The section...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is constructed with two skeins of Fifty Shades of Gradient. The shawl is started with a provisional cast on in the middle of the center segment and knitted in garter st sections to each end. The same color end of each skein is used in the center and each side shows off the same color, hence the name Opposite Colors Shawl.
Knitting: Blanket - Other
This blanket was designed specifically to be used when your baby is in his/her car seat. It should cover your baby but is not overly large. There is also an opening for the seat belt to attach.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit in the round from 2 lovely soft yarns: Deluxe Superwash by Universal Yarns and Amitola Grande by Louisa Harding. The Deluxe yarn is knit on a smaller needle in garter st in the round (knit 1 round, purl 1 round). Then with the amitola yarn and larger needles the number of sts is doubled to produce ruching or a “gathering of ma...
Knitting: Bib
This bib was designed so that it can just be slipped over the baby’s head. The center opening is large enough to accommodate up to adult size head.
Knitting: Cowl
This slipped stitch cowl is easy and quick to knit in the round on size 11 needles. Dimensions are 25 inches in circumference and 8 inches high. It does require two full skeins of the lovely soft Chalet yarn of contrasting colors. There was only a small amount of yarn remaining after the cowl was finished.
