Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Crenellations are the notches at the top of castle walls. The tricots that crown the lovely lace edges of these gloves is delicately reminiscent of those wistful stone bastions.

This is a fairly simple knit pattern, embellished with crocheted picots and a crocheted flower, knit flat and square and then seamed up one side to create a tube, and gathered at the top by means of a chain or i-cord threaded through eyelets along one edge of the work. Knitting: Costume, Hats - Other
This hat is for a halloween costume for an infant. A beholder is a monster-- it is basically a floating eyeball with teeth, and additional eyes on tentacles (eyestalks). The pattern could also be modified to create a “medusa” hat--I am working on developing that pattern
